Time of Reckoning Policy Roundtable

The final forum in the Time of Reckoning series invites the Black community to join key policymakers in centering Black led solutions and accountability from government leaders. This session presents the opportunity to hear from Commissioner Rebecca Lucero, Commissioner John Harrington, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis City Council Vice President Andrea Jenkins and other leaders about their plans to usher in positive, systemic change that address the criminal justice system and its collateral consequences on the Black family.

The Black Family Reunion

Harnessing our power, activating our liberation

The Black Family Reunion forum will lean into the historical and cultural practice that is the Black family reunion structure. Join us virtually on May 26 from 12:00 - 2:00pm as we nourish an intergenerational pathway forward through warm connectedness, essential conversation, uplifted artistry and delicious recipes.

Time of Reckoning's consistent focus on the Black family stems from its foundation and infrastructure of the wellbeing of all Black people. It is the keeper of the flame and curator of the past, present and future not only of Black people but all people.

Time of Reckoning for Extended and Chosen Family

Time of Reckoning is an opportunity for the community to come together for discussions, solutions, and healing. This series of four community engagement and healing justice sessions will culminate in a Black-led town hall and policy action roundtable focusing on the criminal justice system and its collateral consequences. 


This Time of Reckoning event focuses on healing for extended and chosen family members affected by the American criminal justice system. The session will be structured like a congressional hearing, with scripted narratives from community members, questions from policy makers, and a live work session with the goal of developing tangible actions and bold visions for Black futures.
